Our Story
Illuminating since 1948
FTS is a wholesale lighting and electrical distributor of energy efficient and cost effective lighting products and solutions. Our recycling products and pick up services keep our clients in compliance with proper governmental waste regulations, while emphasizing the repurposing of waste to help preserve diminishing resources for a clean and safe environment.
FTS also offers lighting design consultation, energy rebate assistance, and lighting audits.
Our History
Fluorescent Tube Service and Exchange Company was founded in the late 1940s by family patriarchs Dorothy and Bernard Patton.
Bernard invented a rejuvenation machine that brought old fluorescent light bulbs back to life, accomplishing what many then considered to be “impossible.” After patenting the product, the burgeoning company took flight by selling to businesses in Los Angeles. In the 1950’s, Dorothy became a pioneer of her own by leading and administrating the company until 1979, at which time declining health dictated she pass the reins to her granddaughter Michele Davidson, our current President & CEO. FTS Lighting Services as we know it today was established January 21, 2010
