Philips ALTO II Technology:
All fluorescent lamps need a small amount of mercury to operate efficiently but Philips has been working hard to reduce the mercury levels. With the use of ALTO® Lamp Technology, Philips set a standard by reducing the amount of mercury inT8 lamps to a then industry-low 3.5mg.With the new ALTO II™ Technology, fluorescent T8 lamps now have only 1.7mg of mercury and still deliver outstanding performance. And to further help reduce environmental impact, Philips only uses recycled mercury in the lamp.
There is a misconception that lowering the mercury will reduce lamp life, energy savings or light output—this is not the case. Philips has developed an innovative way to lower the mercury level without sacrificing life or any other performance parameters. The Philips T8 portfolio is the only one to offer Extra Long Life lamps with 40,000 rated average life at 12 hours per start on instant start ballasts. These Extra Long Life lamps are available in four color temperatures and in two wattages: 32W and 25W.

The most traditional gasketed enclosure. The extra width and depth provided assure that you will be able to fit your choice of fluorescent strip fixtures into these units. Citadel 1™ is available in both 4’ and 8’ lengths. Non-yellowing acrylic diffusers seal firmly into a continuous closed cell gasket and are secured with three part toggle latches. The diffusers have an interior stipple finish that reduces direct glare from the lamps. Both the diffuser and the fiberglass housings have easy to clean, smooth exterior surfaces.
Thincell TC is an injection molded cube louver that offers unequaled efficiency, economy and dimensional versatility. Standard finished include opaque white, black and Specular silver. TC is molded in both 2' x 4' and metric panel sizes. The nominal 3/8" (8mm) thickness offers an important freight advantage when cube and container capacity is an issue. All molded sizes include a half lap perimeter detail that facilitates continuous row applications with an unbroken appearance.
